7 of Cups

I recently did a reading for myself, and The Seven of Cups appeared as the goal. Now, this card often points to choices, illusions, indecision, too many options, distractions, and desires that can cloud judgment. But as a goal? Sevens remind us that we got this! We possess the strength and perseverance to expertly carry out our goals, protect our hard work, and establish clear boundaries. And cups? Well, this is our emotional realm, our gut feelings, our intuition.
So, the Seven of Cups card is really asking us to get out of our own way! Too many distractions keep us from doing the work, blocking our flow. It is an opportunity to see past the romanticized version of our ideals and what we daydream about by providing a reality check. Be here now! It is asking us to be present. When we come from a place of presence, our desires change, as do our needs. They transition from glittery distractions to what truly feeds and nourishes our souls. We become satisfied with what we have. In fact, our inner artist begins to bloom in part by having to become creative with what we have. The Seven of Cups asks us to pay attention to our gut feelings, discern what is real, what aligns with our values, and what will move us towards the direction that takes us to where we’d actually like to be, in the flow. That is the goal!
